Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a Transformer Service Consultant to bridge our sales teams with data center clients across the United States. You will identify service opportunities, define scopes of work, and collaborate with tendering teams to develop quotes.

You will troubleshoot transformer systems, conduct site walks, and assist with on-site project management including budget and schedules. Travel up to 60% and ensure regulatory compliance throughout projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 10+ years of field experience in transformer repair.
• At least 2+ years as a field crew leader.
• Strong understanding of transformer systems and oil testing standards.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Salesforce.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify service opportunities at data center sites across the U.S.
• Define scopes of work and collaborate with tendering teams to develop quotes.
• Troubleshoot transformer systems including controls, oil processing, and electrical testing.
• Conduct pre-job and post-job site walks with customers and internal teams.
• Assist with on-site project management including budget, schedule, and manpower.
• Compose detailed reports and field documentation for internal and customer use.
• Support sales, safety, and service planning teams with technical insights.
• Travel nationwide up to 60% to support customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
