Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. seeks an experienced Service Engineer for Transformer Service in the US. Responsibilities include remote and on-site support, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and retrofits for transformers, with substantial travel requirements.

You will work under the Regional Field Operation Manager, leveraging electrical and mechanical knowledge to service customers, develop opportunities, and improve processes while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience or HS with 5 years’ experience.
Work authorization to work in the United States.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 85%.

Responsibilities

Delivering outstanding and professional service, remotely or on-site.
Exceeding customer expectations by understanding and anticipating needs.
Coordinating logistics of resources and spare parts for all site Service jobs.
Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings, and manuals.
Repair, re-gasket, assemble and disassemble equipment as directed.
Operate Vacuum Oil Processors (VOPs) and oil handling equipment.
Complete vacuum oil processing logs.
Identify and develop potential sales and business opportunities with Hitachi Energy customers.
Suggesting product and process improvements to enhance operations and service quality.
Uphold Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity values in daily tasks.
