Job summary

SICK AG is seeking a Regional Account Manager for Industrial Automation to join our Team Sales. This remote-based role can be based in Raleigh, NC, Greensboro, NC, or Richmond, VA, and involves managing a regional sales territory from a home office.

You will develop direct customer relationships, leverage Team Selling, and apply consultative selling techniques to grow market share in defined strategic industries. Travel up to regional four days a week as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience selling complex industrial automation solutions and sensor products.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with sales orientation.
• Proven ability to manage sales plans and lead accounts.

Responsibilities

• Be the trusted advisor and main contact to customers to grow market share.
• Work with Team Selling Unit to meet individual and team goals.
• Develop opportunities within defined accounts and coordinate with specialists.
• Maintain CRM data for teamwork and customer transparency.
• Build direct relationships using knowledge of customers' needs and industry terms.
• Apply consultative sales techniques to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer experience and manage communications with named accounts.
• Identify opportunities and understand account potential and competitors.
• Generate new leads for diverse product applications and research trends.
• Introduce new products and services with urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Collaborate with team and external specialists to maximize share of wallet.
• Develop strategic account plans and pursue sales excellence.
