Qualifications

• Two years hospital/healthcare experience.
• One year experience with referrals and/or prior authorization.
• Two years of experience with computer database systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned outpatient referral coordinators and collaborates with managers to ensure high satisfaction from referring providers, divisions, patients, and families.
• Processes incoming referrals and orders using scheduling systems; reviews referrals for accuracy and attaches medical records as needed; answers questions about referrals.
• Oversees processes to ensure best practices in referral and order processing and customer satisfaction.
• Provides training and develops materials on referrals and hospital system changes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and satisfaction.
• Maintains proficiencies by participating in internal and external education to enhance skills and competency.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
