Qualifications

• Minimum three years in a medical office, ambulatory care, or similar setting performing referral management duties.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent skills in processing referrals in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains high accuracy in documentation of referral processing in the EHR and communications with specialty sites, staff and patients.
• Develops new protocols to ensure timely follow up and completion of referrals.
• Provides training to referral coordinators and liaison staff and ensures yearly competency standards are met.
• Monitors referral activities for timeliness and coordination across departments.
