Qualifications

• Two years hospital/healthcare experience.
• One year experience with referrals and/or prior authorization.
• Two years of experience with computer database systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees outpatient referral coordinators and collaborates with manager and staff to ensure high patient and provider satisfaction.
• Processes incoming referrals and orders using scheduling systems; reviews referrals for accuracy and attaches records as needed.
• Communicates with referring providers to clarify data and redirects non-referral faxes appropriately.
• Develops training materials and conducts training on referrals and hospital system changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintains proficiency through ongoing education and external programs as approved.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
