Job summary

Mutual Housing California, a nonprofit housing developer, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support senior staff across feasibility, local approvals, and capital raising for affordable housing projects.

The role involves budget tracking, funding coordination, due diligence, and coordination with various departments to ensure projects move from concept to completion while maintaining project reporting and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, community development, business, real estate, or related field.
• Experience in housing development or nonprofit real estate projects is preferred.
• Ability to travel within 120 miles of work site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating project budgets, pro formas, cash flow projections and schedules.
• Support funding research and predevelopment analyses for development projects.
• Prepare applications for local, state, federal funding and loans.
• Coordinate due diligence, bids, and selection of development team members.
• Prepare loan draw requests and funder documentation; attend project meetings as needed.
• Take minutes and support reporting requirements and progress updates.
• Coordinate program development with Asset Management and Resident Services.
• Provide administrative support and filing system maintenance.
