Job summary

Merritt Community Capital Corporation is seeking a mission-driven Asset Manager in California. The role focuses on maintaining asset management policies, reviewing funds and portfolios, and ensuring compliance with tax credit programs.

You will analyze financial statements, perform site visits, and support Board reporting while coordinating with developers and managers. The ideal candidate has BA education or equivalent experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with affordable

Qualifications

• BA in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years' accounting/bookkeeping or asset management experience preferred.
• Experience with affordable housing programs and tax credits a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contacts and implement Asset Management policies and procedures.
• Review funds, direct investments, and project portfolios; perform audits and site inspections.
• Analyze investment statements, industry data, and regulatory changes.
• Prepare reports for the Board and investors; support workout plans for Watchlist items.
• Monitor performance under loan documents and partnership agreements.
• Review allocations of tax credits and compliance during development phases.
• Assist in monitoring systems and provide technical assistance to developers.
