Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Rare Disease Key Account Manager in the Southeast, focusing on Neurology. You will partner with healthcare providers, clinics, infusion centers, and health systems to improve diagnosis, access, and treatment pathways for patients with rare diseases.

In this field-based role, you will build account plans, optimize contracting and reimbursement workflows, and lead cross-functional efforts to unlock patient access. Travel 40–60% is expected.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or higher required with relevant sales/account management experience.
• Experience in rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or buy-and-bill environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of reimbursement, coding, and clinic revenue-cycle considerations.
• Experience with contracting, IDNs or GPOs is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans aligned to customer priorities.
• Identify barriers to access and support contracting and reimbursement workflows.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, medical, market access, and analytics.
• Monitor account performance and provide actionable field insights.
• Maintain accurate account plans and documentation in required systems.
