Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Rare Disease Key Account Manager for the Neurology - Mid South region. This field-based role focuses on reducing time to diagnosis and improving patient access by partnering with health systems, clinics, and infusion centers.

The KAM will diagnose barriers, optimize buy-and-bill operations, and lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen clinic readiness and patient experience across sites of care. Travel is approximately 40-60% within the assigned geography.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate’s or High School with 2+ years sales or account management experience as per basic qualifications.
• Experience with complex provider accounts, health systems, and sites of care.
• Knowledge of reimbursement, coding, benefit verification, prior authorization, and revenue-cycle considerations.
• Experience with contracting, pricing, and negotiation in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategy and plans to improve access, patient identification, and time-to-treatment.
• Lead contracting opportunities, coordinate internal approvals, and support compliant negotiation.
• Evaluate buy-and-bill workflows and improve reimbursement readiness and inventory practices.
• Coordinate cross-functional field execution with sales, medical, market access, analytics, and brand partners.
