Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Physician Coder with 6 months to 1 year radiology coding experience for a fully remote role. CPC must be active; CPC-A acceptable only if the candidate has at least 6 months radiology coding experience. The coder will handle CT, Ultrasound and other modalities within the Radiology group.

You will work in a remote environment with flexible hours, supported by resources and a broad national team, receiving equipment and onboarding assistance from Banner Health.

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A or RHIA/RHIT in active status with AHIMA/AAPC membership.
• Minimum 6 months professional coding experience.
• Coding radiology including CT, Ultrasound and other modalities.

Responsibilities

• Code diagnostic and procedural information per national guidelines.
• Abstract data into the electronic medical record and ensure complete records.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and Medicaid rules.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports on coding activities.
• Work independently with remote support when needed.
