Job summary

Banner Health seeks a motivated Physician Coder to join our Radiology coding team remotely. Requires CPC in active status with experience coding radiology, CT, Ultrasound, and other modalities. CPC-A acceptable with at least 6 months radiology coding experience.

Remote role with flexible hours and strong support resources. Ideal candidates will have 6 months to 1 year of coding experience, certification in a relevant CPC family, and demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and compliance while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal training in medical record keeping and terminology.
• Active CPC / CCS / CCS-P / CCA / CPC-A / RHIA / RHIT certifications in good standing.
• Six months of professional coding experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles per AHIMA/AAPC guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign accurate ICD-CM and CPT codes for appropriate reimbursement.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures, ensuring complete and compliant documentation.
• Provide quality assurance to ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Compile daily/monthly reports for auditing or research purposes.
• Work independently in a remote coding environment with available support.
