Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder to join our remote Coding Ambulatory team. The role focuses on radiology coding (CT, Ultrasounds, all modalities) with CPC certification in active status; CPC-A considered with radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one of: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT in active status with AHIMA/AAPC.
• Six months of professional coding experience in healthcare.
• Remote work capability with access to coding resources.
• Experience coding radiology (CT, ultrasound, all modalities).
• Must be able to work in remote setting with standard office tools.

Responsabilités

• Code medical records per national guidelines (ICD/CPT) and ensure proper APC assignment.
• Abstract diagnoses/procedures and maintain complete medical record documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA, and state regulations.
• Generate daily/monthly reports as required for analysis and quality.
