Job summary

Banner Health seeks an experienced Physician Coder to join our remote Coding Ambulatory team. The role focuses on radiology coding across CT, Ultrasound, and other modalities, requiring CPC in active status and at least six months of radiology coding experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status with recent and consistent coding work history.
• Six months of professional coding experience in a broad range of health care facilities.
• Remote work capability with flexible hours and access to resources.
• Coding radiology (CT, Ultrasound, all modalities) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT-4 for accurate APC assignment according to guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR and verify missing information.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA rules and company standards.
• Compile daily/monthly reports for analysis as assigned.
• Work independently with guidance as needed and collaborate with the coding team.
