Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Software QA and Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team. This role focuses on testing our custom software for utility-scale construction management, data monitoring, analytics, and reporting.

The position is fully remote or hybrid with regular office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, Oregon, with location details discussed at interview. The ideal candidate will coordinate with developers and product teams, write comprehensive test cases, and

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or CS or related field.
5+ years of software QA testing experience.
Experience writing automated tests for TypeScript or Python code bases.

Responsibilities

Achieve expert level understanding of our custom software system features and integrations.
Prioritize and manage testing work using Jira and release timelines.
Coordinate with developers and product team members to test features.
Coordinate functional, regression, negative, and ad-hoc testing with the QA team.
Write comprehensive test cases for functional coverage.
Identify opportunities to improve testing via automation, AI, and other innovations.
Build test environments and pull/run code locally (Git/GitHub).
Provide first-line and 2nd-tier support, triage, and ticket resolution.
Document fixes to reduce repeat tickets and support future self-service.
