Job summary

Zippy is transforming manufactured housing lending with a remote-first QA Manager who leads pre-close and post-close reviews across the loan lifecycle. You will mentor QA analysts, ensure policy and investor requirements are met, and drive improvements to reduce repeat findings while maintaining operational efficiency.

This role emphasizes strong investigative skills, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable QA practices in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development.
• Experience overseeing both pre-close and post-close quality reviews strongly preferred.
• Strong investigative and research skills, including navigating multiple systems and documenting conclusions.
• Manufactured housing or specialty finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of QA professionals responsible for pre-close and post-close loan reviews.
• Manage performance concerns promptly with clear improvement plans when needed.
• Assess training needs and deliver or coordinate training, calibration, mentoring, and development opportunities.
• Oversee QA reviews across the full loan origination process to ensure accuracy and policy alignment.
• Escalate material or systemic risks and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Translate QA data into actionable insights for managers and senior leadership.
• Build relationships with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, and other stakeholders while keeping QA independent.
