Job summary

House Buyers of America, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager to bid, manage, and negotiate all contracts for home renovations. The role oversees all purchasing tasks, develops scopes of work, and recruits contractors/vendors.

This is a 100% remote position. Key responsibilities include bidding and contract management, budget tracking with Field Managers, and driving cost reductions while improving quality and aesthetics of renovations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience with a major home builder/remodeling company.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bid out and manage all contracts; submit invoices and track budgets.
• Negotiate lowest costs and source new products to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Collaborate with senior management to define spec levels for renovations.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and budgets for each project.
• Manage, train, and perform contractor/vendor oversight, including registrations.
• Recruit new contractors and vendors through networking and cold calls.
