Job summary

Zillow Home Loans in the United States seeks a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within Zillow’s ecosystem. You will guide borrowers from initial contact through funding while delivering a best-in-class experience.

You may operate in a high-volume, digitally driven environment or a relationship-based, market-focused model, driven by responsiveness, execution, and performance within a structured, metrics-driven organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test (National Component).
• Located within 75 miles of Charlotte, NC.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume or agent-centric models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and understanding of the mortgage process.
• Comfortable in a structured, KPI-driven environment with clear performance metrics.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to build trust quickly.
• Strong time management, organization, and pipeline management skills.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and partners.
• Manage an active pipeline while meeting service levels and funding expectations.
• Use Zillow’s CRM and LOS to manage pipeline health and engagement.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends and lending programs to provide tailored financing solutions.
