Job summary

Equifax is seeking an experienced Account Executive for the Public Sector to develop and close opportunities with state government accounts. You will work with a client engagement team and report to the Vice President of Sales on a base salary plus performance-based incentives.

The role is remote with preference for candidates residing in the Frankfort metro area; travel up to 20% is required. A strong background in SSA/HHS, federal procurement, and Salesforce is valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field sales experience, including at least 2 in state agencies.
• Existing agency relationships are a plus.
• Deep knowledge of SSA, HHS and large federal agency ecosystems.
• Public sector sales plus software-as-a-service experience; credit agency assets preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas in growth settings.
• Proven capture strategies and winning pursuits in excess of $10M+.
• Federal procurement experience and ability to write competitive proposals.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align offerings to customer missions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (more if not in Frankfort, KY).

Responsibilities

• Develops and closes new opportunities for state government accounts.
• Creates long-range account plans and pipeline growth.
• Leads cross-functional capture efforts and negotiations.
• Compares market pricing and products; informs strategy.
• Keeps management informed with reports and territory analyses.
• Collaborates with finance, legal, fulfillment and product teams.
