GitLab Inc. is seeking a Public Sector Account Executive focused on Canada’s provincial and municipal governments and higher education institutions. The role centers on modernizing software delivery and security via GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform, while navigating complex procurement and multi-year roadmaps.

You will own a defined book of business, build trusted advisor relationships, and collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable public sector outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience selling technology solutions to provincial or state governments, municipalities, and higher education institutions.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation and infrastructure modernization.
• Understanding of public sector procurement processes, including privacy and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute multi-year account plans for public sector prospects.
• Navigate procurement and contracting processes with CIOs and technical leaders.
• Be the primary contact and trusted advisor for strategic public sector customers.
• Own your book of business from pipeline through close and expansion.
• Collaborate with pre-sales, customer success, and support to ensure successful rollout and value realization.
• Partner with system integrators and channel partners to generate leads and co-create solutions for public sector challenges.
• Drive prospecting and opportunity development within large accounts to grow new and expansion business.
• Represent the voice of the customer to product and internal teams.
