Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Services & Systems division is seeking a Power Systems Controls Application Engineer to design and quote automation solutions for switchgear across the U.S. West Region.

This role emphasizes collaboration with sales teams, engineers, and customers to deliver reliable control systems for commercial and industrial power applications. You will develop technical and cost proposals for automatic transfer schemes, generator paralleling controls, load shedding, and MicroGrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years in electrical industry applications, proposal development, and project engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Quote PSC opportunities in the U.S. West Region by reviewing specs and creating technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals from $50k to $2M.
• Provide regular reporting on negotiations, market conditions and trends for strategy.
• Maintain pricing in PSC tools and ensure proposals are well-documented.
• Support order entry and project handoff to PSC engineers; assist with customer specifications.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in Microgrids, BESS, PV, Generator Paralleling.
• Work flexible hours as needed to meet bid deadlines.
