Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems division seeks a Power Systems Controls Application Engineer. This remote role serves candidates in the U.S.

West Region and involves developing technical and commercial solutions for automatic transfer schemes, generator paralleling, load shedding, and MicroGrid applications. The position offers an annual salary range of $97,000 to $137,000, with eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or 7 years related experience.
• 3+ years in electrical industry application engineering, proposal development, or project engineering.
• Must reside in eligible Western states (AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY).
• Willing to travel up to 25%, primarily within the U.S. West Region.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license and background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Quote PSC opportunities across the U.S. West Region with tailored proposals.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals from ~50k to ~2M.
• Provide regular reports on negotiations, market conditions, and trends.
• Develop and maintain pricing; integrate into quotation tools.
• Assist with order entry and project handoff to PSC engineers; support Eaton Application Engineers.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in Microgrids, BESS, PV, and related areas.
• Work outside regular hours to meet bid deadlines.
