Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems division seeks a Power Systems Controls Application Engineer. This fully remote role serves the U.S. West region, developing technical and commercial solutions for switchgear automation and related microgrid systems.

You’ll craft proposals, cost estimates, and support sales to execution across multiple stakeholders. The role requires 3+ years in power systems engineering, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or 7+ years related experience.
• 3+ years in electrical industry application engineering, proposal development, and project engineering.
• Willing to travel up to 25%, primarily in the U.S. West Region.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Quote PSC opportunities in the U.S. West by reviewing specs and bid documents.
• Develop proposals from about $50k to $2M with technical and commercial detail.
• Provide reporting on negotiation activities and market trends for decisions.
• Support pricing, documentation, and PSC quotation tooling.
• Assist with order entry and project handoff to PSC engineers.
