Job summary

Eaton's Power Systems Controls group seeks a Power Systems Controls Application Engineer for fully remote work within the U.S. West region (Alaska to Wyoming).

You will collaborate with sales and field services to deliver automation solutions in Eaton switchgear, driving PSC growth through technical and commercial proposals and detailed cost estimates. Responsibilities include developing solutions for automatic transfer schemes, generator paralleling, load shed, MicroGrid applications, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 7 years related field experience.
Minimum of 3 years of electrical industry application engineering and proposal development experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25% within the U.S. West region and reside in the West region.

Responsibilities

Quote PSC opportunities across the U.S. West by reviewing specs and bid documents.
Develop technical and commercial proposals from $50,000 to $2 million.
Provide regular reporting on negotiations, market conditions and trends to support decisions.
Develop and maintain pricing in PSC quotation tools and document all proposals.
Assist with order entry and project handoffs to PSC engineers and provide technical support.
Pursue ongoing professional development in Microgrids, BESS and PV systems.
