Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Services & Systems division is seeking a Power Systems Controls Application Engineer. This fully remote role is open to candidates in the U.S. West Region.

You will collaborate with sales teams to develop automation solutions for switchgear and lead technical and commercial proposals for transfer schemes, generator paralleling, load shed, and microgrid applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or 7+ years of related field experience.
• Minimum 3 years in electrical industry application engineering, proposal development, or project engineering.
• Must reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily within the U.S. West Region.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Quote PSC opportunities across the U.S. West Region by reviewing specs and bid documents to create technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals valued from about $50,000 to $2 million.
• Provide regular reporting on negotiation activities, market conditions, and business trends.
• Develop pricing for standard applications and integrate into PSC quotation tools.
• Support order entry, project handoff to PSC engineers, and provide technical support to influence customer specs.
