Job summary

Eaton’s Power Systems Controls Applications Engineer role is remote for eligible U.S. West Region candidates.

You will collaborate with sales and field teams to design automation solutions for switchgear, develop technical and commercial proposals, and drive PSC business growth through innovative control schemes and MicroGrid applications. The position offers a base salary range of $97,000 to $137,000 annually, with eligibility for a variable incentive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 3 years in electrical industry application engineering and proposal development.
• Must reside within the U.S. West Region or be eligible for remote work.
• Travel up to 25% within the U.S. West Region.

Responsibilities

• Quote PSC opportunities across the U.S. West Region from customer specs and bid docs.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals valued from $50k to $2M.
• Provide reporting on negotiations, market conditions, and trends to guide decisions.
• Maintain pricing for standard applications and integrate into quotation tools.
• Support order entry and project handoff to PSC engineers; assist with technical support.
• Advance professional development in Microgrids, BESS, PV, and related areas.
