Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong investigative judgment and ability to assess damages.
• Experience with property claims investigation and valuation.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial property products and coverage.
• Willingness to obtain licenses within six months.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and Resolve Property Claims: review losses for personal and commercial property, assess coverage, estimate damages, negotiate settlements, and close claims.
• Deliver Customer-Focused Claims Service: communicate with policyholders by phone and channels, explain decisions, provide responsive service.
• Coordinate External Claims Support: assign contractors and adjusters when inspections are needed and review their work.
• Support Specialized Claims Activities: assist with contents valuation and depreciation holdback calculations to move claims toward resolution.
• Maintain Compliance and Documentation: follow procedures for communication, coverage verification, and settlement.
• Meet Productivity Expectations: close a minimum number of claim elements per month.
• Contribute to Catastrophe Response: support catastrophe operations across the service territory.
• Collaborate Across Teams: work with agents, underwriting, marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain Required Licensing: obtain and maintain adjuster licenses within six months.
