Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Project Manager - Design to lead end-to-end BAS/EPMS design projects for mission-critical facilities. You will own scope, schedule, budget, design coordination, risk management, and client communications from kickoff through construction administration.

You will collaborate with control systems engineers, AE partners, and Owners, supporting design readiness, QA/QC, and project controls while traveling up to 10% for client workshops and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management, design management, or engineering-project delivery experience within MEP consulting or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Own planning, execution, and delivery of BAS/EPMS design projects from kickoff through construction administration.
• Lead project initiation activities including scope review, contract requirements, project setup, deliverable schedules, staffing needs, and execution planning.
• Manage design milestones across phases from concept to construction administration.
• Coordinate engineers and partners to ensure timely deliverables.
• Track and coordinate design documentation and reviews.
• Identify scope gaps and risks and drive resolution while meeting codes and standards.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Monitor labor utilization and financial performance; communicate risks to leadership.
• Represent STC at site visits and client meetings as the design lead.
