Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer IV – Design to lead Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) design for hyperscale facilities. You will collaborate with internal and external engineers, BIM resources, and vendors to ensure accurate design and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field is required.
• Experience leading BAS/EPMS design projects for data centers or AE projects.
• Knowledge of BAS hardware (DDC/PLC) and software interfaces.
• Ability to coordinate with MEP/ICT engineers, vendors, and BIM resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs for DDC and PLC based BAS and EPMS systems.
• Coordinate with MEP/ICT engineers and vendors for interface requirements.
• Review system diagrams, sequences of operations, and shutdowns.
• Manage design deliverables across SD/DD/IFP/IFC and CA phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead project meetings.
• Ensure IT/OT security and safe integration with client IT.
