Job summary

Kentro is hiring a Project Financial Control Analyst to support the Finance Team in managing federal contracts. This role focuses on budgets, forecasts, funding, costs, and profitability, with collaboration across Finance, Project Management, Contracts, and Accounting to produce accurate financial reporting.

The position is remote within the United States, aligned with Eastern Time hours, and offers a base salary range of $85,000–$95,000 annually plus benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience managing program/project financials on federal contracts.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining project and business unit-level financial forecasts, including revenue, cost, and margin information.
• Support project financial planning and budgeting activities by collecting financial information and assisting with timely updates and submissions.
• Prepare and organize billing support documentation for customer invoicing.
• Assist with timecard reviews and adjustments and coordinate corrections with employees and project management.
• Prepare routine financial reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards for review by the Senior Project Financial Control Analyst and Finance Manager.
• Assist with preparation of required customer deliverable reporting.
• Monitor cost, profitability, and schedule variances and identify items requiring follow-up.
• Track program funding, risks, and other financial items.
• Review funding requirements for purchase requisitions and escalate questions as needed.
• Track subcontractor costs and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with project setup in Unanet ERP and related data.
• Monitor remaining contract funding and escalate potential funding concerns.
• Prepare FAR/FTR-based travel expense reports for invoicing pre-approval.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to resolve routine project financial issues.
• Maintain accurate project financial records and trackers.
• Perform other administrative and financial analysis activities.
