Responsibilities

• Provide project control support across a portfolio of government contracts totaling approximately $15M.
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor the financial performance of assigned contracts.
• Manage and monitor labor, subcontractor costs, and other direct costs.
• Track actual spending against budgets and forecasts and identify potential overruns or underruns.
• Prepare and maintain Estimates at Completion (EACs).
• Perform detailed variance analysis.
• Manage fee calculations and contract financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain forecasts, budgets, and financial projections.
• Monitor contract performance against cost and schedule objectives.
• Support financial reporting, compliance, and contract requirements.
• Assist with financial risk identification and resolution.
• Support both Time & Materials (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts.
• Develop and improve project control processes and reporting practices.

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Controller to support a portfolio of government contracts for a growing organization in the aerospace and government contracting sector. This is an immediate contract opportunity expected to last approximately 2–3 months while the organization conducts a permanent search, with the potential for conversion for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on Unanet experience and a proven background in government contracting project controls. This individual will partner closely with project management and finance leadership to manage contract financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
