LINK is seeking a Senior Project Controller in Washington, DC to oversee financial performance and controls for government contracts. You will partner with Program Managers, Contracts, Accounting, Billing, Procurement, and HR to ensure funding, compliance, and sound execution across programs.

The role requires 7–10+ years in project controls within government contracting, with deep FAR/DFARS/CAS knowledge and Deltek Costpoint experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Project Management, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in project controls, project accounting, financial management, or related role in government contracting.
• 5+ years supporting program/project management in government contracting.
• Experience in mid-sized government contractor environment ($50M+).
• Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and government contract requirements.
• Experience with government contract types (FFP, T&M).
• Experience with government procurement, subcontract management, and ODCs.
• Knowledge of government contractor purchasing systems and compliance requirements.
• Experience with government accounting and ERP systems; Deltek Costpoint preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and forecasting.
• Ability to analyze project financial data and communicate insights.
• Proven ability to partner with Program Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor/subcontractor/consultant relationships.
• Strong understanding of project financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and funding management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee financial performance of assigned government contracts and projects (budgets, forecasts, expenditures, variances).
• Partner with Program Managers to establish budgets, financial plans, and resource forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze EAC and ETC forecasts with Program Managers, BD, and Accounting.
• Monitor contract funding, obligations, expenditures, burn rates, and remaining capacity.
• Track profitability and key financial KPIs; identify trends, risks, opportunities.
• Monitor program funding levels and funding increments with PMs and Contracts.
• Escalate when funding approaches thresholds or requires action.
• Monitor travel and other project expenses; allocate costs to contracts.
• Identify procurement-related financial risks and escalate issues.
• Ensure cost allocations, accruals, and reporting for subcontractors, consultants, and ICs.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decisions, planning, and risk mitigation.
• Communicate financial risks and recommendations to PMs and leadership.
• Maintain project financial records and reporting to support compliance.
