Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a remote Project Developer to support Small Commercial vertical accounts within Key Accounts. You will develop HVAC, controls, and turnkey solutions using Trane equipment, collaborating with Account Managers to identify profitable opportunities and align with customer goals.

You will assist in scoping, budgeting, and design, coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams to deliver on time and within scope. Strong engineering and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in project development or construction-related sales support.
• Ability to translate customer needs into practical, profitable solutions.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and building construction industry.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and independent service providers to obtain information.
• Strong estimating, scoping, and proposal support capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop small commercial HVAC, controls, and turnkey solutions.
• Partner with Account Managers to identify profitable opportunities across national owner-direct accounts.
• Assist in project scoping, concept development, solution validation, and preliminary design.
• Support budgets, RFQs, and scope statements, schedules, and milestones.
• Coordinate with service providers and internal stakeholders to deliver executable project plans.
• Provide technical and solution-development support in pursuit of Trane business.
• Manage design support activities from concept through turnover to execution teams.
• Refine processes to improve project development effectiveness across digital, service, and turnkey offerings.
• Support secured customers from project development through transition to operations.
• Drive customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development.
• Create repeatable value through ongoing service, modernization, and digital expansion.
