Job summary

Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an HVAC Project Developer who leads front-end project development by assessing customer facility needs and shaping strategic solutions aligned with objectives. You will partner with Pre-Construction, Estimating, Project Management, and external partners to create scope and position projects for successful execution, with some Midwest travel.

In this role you will evaluate mechanical, electrical, and building systems, collaborate with designers

Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical HVAC systems along with basic knowledge of energy, building design, estimating, and construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with clean record over last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization opportunities from qualification through contract execution.
• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and building systems to identify risks, maintenance needs, and capital opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, estimators, and operations teams to ensure practical, executable solutions.
• Develop business cases for capital investments, assessing lifecycle costs and ROI.
• Guide project discussions, reviews, and transitions with Pre-Construction and Project Management teams.
