Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant for a remote role, ideally located in the West Region (CA/NV). The position focuses on overseeing project cost accounting and providing timely financial insight for project managers and operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with payroll, AP, and other accounting functions, maintaining budgets, and ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting. A CPA/CMA is preferred, with 7+ years of corporate/project accounting experience recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA/CMA certification preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate/project accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and report on project cost accounting in alignment with company policies.
• Serve as liaison between operations and accounting functions (AP, payroll, etc.).
• Review KPIs and support continuous improvement in operations.
• Research and resolve project issues and ensure timely reporting.
• Coordinate with regional controller for reports and collections.
• Manage project setups, invoicing, and vendor/subcontractor invoicing.
