Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a professional Program Manager to join the Department Relationship Success team. This fully remote role supports volunteer engagement across SAF, ISD and Corporate Departments and can be located anywhere in the USA.

You will serve as a primary relationship manager, coordinate with program managers and stakeholders, and drive recruitment and onboarding of volunteers to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create presentations and training modules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve goals.
• Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work on a team.
• Travel: 2-3 in-person meetings per year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with program managers, department stakeholders, Volunteer Services teams, volunteer leaders, and cross-functional partners.
• Consult with departments to identify workforce needs and determine recruitment strategies.
• Support departments in implementing recruitment plans and navigating volunteer processes.
• Coordinate communications, meetings, briefings, and stakeholder updates.
• Manage and support Volunteer Connection activities including position management and reporting.
• Provide guidance on volunteer workforce policies and best practices.
• Support volunteer leaders and teams to sustain enterprise positions.
• Pull, analyze, and interpret volunteer workforce data for decision-making.
• Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and leadership updates.
• Monitor workforce trends, vacancies, recruitment activity, and engagement metrics.
• Partner with stakeholders to address challenges and improve volunteer utilization.
• Support enterprise initiatives and projects in the Department Relationship Success priorities.
