Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a Manager, Product to lead strategy and roadmaps for one or more engineering platforms. In a player-coach role, you will blend product leadership with people management to build scalable, self-service capabilities for developers and engineers.

Accountable for long-term vision, adoption, and outcomes, you will partner with engineering leaders to translate customer needs into product strategy, manage roadmaps, and drive outcomes across the software delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years relevant business experience in product management or similar.
• Knowledge of iterative development and software development processes.
• Expertise in Agile Product Management, stakeholder management, market and user research, technology management, and process design.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Passion for and understanding of new technology trends.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Develops long-term product roadmap as part of a larger business strategy.
• Ensures execution of business strategies through product roadmaps and releases.
• Leads collaboration to manage and prioritize roadmaps across multiple products.
• Collaborates to resolve conflicts constructively.
• Ensures teams understand required business outcomes and align with broader goals.
• Identifies and tracks performance metrics to drive improvements.
• Coaches product teams and stakeholders to address gaps and deliver improvements.
• Ensures KPIs deliver necessary business value.
• Keeps roadmaps aligned with capacity and priorities to maximize customer value.
• Engages with customers to uncover needs and translate into testable product hypotheses.
• Collaborates to develop and roll out operational plans.
• Researches industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness.
• Maintains advanced knowledge of the business, products, and processes.
