Job summary
Thrivent is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software and platform engineers, owning the vision for Thrivent's Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and developer experience initiatives. You will balance platform innovation with operational excellence, partnering with engineers, architects, and product leaders to reduce friction and improve delivery velocity.
You will champion modern engineering practices, drive adoption of platform capabilities, and evaluate emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience with platform delivery.
- 3+ years of leadership driving technical strategy and teams.
- Proven history leading high-performing software or platform groups.
- Strong ability to communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of engineers across platform, dev-ex, and automation.
- Define and drive strategy for Thrivent's Engineering Productivity ecosystem.
- Ensure reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability of IDP.
- Drive adoption through enablement, education, and documentation.
