Job summary

Avantor seeks a Process Safety Manager to lead global governance for processes handling hazardous materials. This role emphasizes preventing catastrophic events, managing chemical hazards, and ensuring regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will drive PHAs, MOC, incident investigations, and safety reviews for capital projects, collaborating with operations, engineering and maintenance. Remote leadership across North America is offered.

Qualifications

• OSHA PSM and EPA RMP knowledge demonstrated.
• PHA/HAZOP facilitation experience.
• MOC and incident investigation experience.
• Ability to partner with operations, engineering and leadership teams.
• Experience across multiple facilities preferred.
• Experience in corporate or regional process safety role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of Process Safety Management programs.
• Establish corporate process safety standards and governance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA standards.
• Lead PHAs/HAZOP and risk assessment activities.
• Oversee MOC, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Support capital projects with process safety oversight.
