Job summary

Avantor is seeking a remote Process Safety Manager to lead the development and execution of our Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs across North American facilities. You will partner with operations, engineering and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of process safety practices.

The role requires 5–8 years in EHS/Process Safety with CSP or CCPSC certification preferred, and strong expertise in PHA/HAZOP, MOC, and risk assessment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
CSP or CCPSC certification preferred.
Minimum 5–8 years in EHS/Process Safety in chemical manufacturing or related industries.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA, and related standards.
Plan and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA/HAZOP) and risk assessments.
Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes and incident investigations.
Collaborate across operations, engineering and leadership teams for risk reduction.
