Job summary

Avantor is hiring a remote Process Safety Manager to lead corporate process safety governance across facilities handling hazardous materials. You will drive PHA/HAZOP studies, MOC, incident investigations and regulatory compliance, partnering with operations and engineering teams across North America.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5–8 years of EHS/PSM experience, with CSP/CCPSC/PE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• 5–8 years in EHS/Process Safety in high-hazard industries; PSM and RMP experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, CCPS risk-based methods; CSP/PE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing improvement of Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
• Facilitate PHA/HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and MOC processes across sites.
• Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions and sharing lessons learned.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA standards and internal policies.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance and leadership teams remotely.
