Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Process Safety Manager for a fully remote role focused on leading PSM/RMP programs, hazard analyses, and incident investigations across North America. You will ensure regulatory compliance and partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to reduce risk.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5–8 years in EHS/process safety in high-hazard industries, with CSP/PE/PHM certifications preferred. Strong collaboration in a remote setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications: CSP, CCPSC, PE, incident investigation training (preferred).
• 5–8 years EHS/process safety in chemical/industry settings; experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA, and related requirements.
• Plan, facilitate, document Process Hazard Analyses including HAZOP and What-If.
• Lead Management of Change processes and incident investigations.
• Provide technical guidance for hazard analysis, risk reduction, and governance across North America.
