Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Remote Sr Corporate Process Safety Engineer to ensure the safety and reliability of chemical processes across the company. The role focuses on risk assessments, safety evaluations, and implementing process safety management programs.

As a technical leader, you will mentor PHA facilitators, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead safety initiatives to meet regulatory standards and improve safety performance across all facilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. Chemical Engineering or related degree.
• 8+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience facilitating process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessments.
• Understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and BPCS hazard analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management programs to ensure regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
• Lead and facilitate PHA, LOPA, and risk assessment activities with documentation and closure of actions.
• Mentor other PHA facilitators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design safety systems.
• Perform safety evaluations of processes, equipment, and facilities to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Investigate process safety incidents, perform root cause analyses, and propose preventive actions.
• Provide technical support on process safety to engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Participate in process safety compliance audits and deliver training on process safety topics.
