Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to optimize Asset Lifecycle Management and ITAD operations across multiple facilities. You will analyze workflows, standardize procedures, and drive measurable productivity gains while supporting data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include time-and-motion studies, Lean implementation, and ergonomic improvements, with travel domestically and occasional international assignments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of process engineering or related optimization experience.
• Experience applying Lean principles in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to train and influence multi-site teams.
• Exposure to ITAD, electronics recycling, serialized asset tracking, or enterprise IT hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assess & Improve Floor Operations: observe workflows and align with standard procedures.
• Apply Lean & eliminate root causes: map flows, perform root-cause analysis, reduce bottlenecks.
• Standardize & document workflows: write SOPs and visual aids for multiple sites.
• Conduct time & motion studies: measure cycle times, labor usage, and throughput; track KPIs.
• Optimize floor layouts, tooling & ergonomics; coordinate with IT/Operations for asset tracking.
