Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to optimize Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) and ITAD operations across multiple facilities. You will analyze workflows from receiving to shipping, map value streams, and develop SOPs to reduce waste and boost productivity.

You’ll collaborate with floor teams, drive Lean improvements, and standardize work practices while ensuring ergonomic and data-tracking enhancements. Domestic travel required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or related roles.
• Lean principles applied in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to train and lead multi-site teams.
• Exposure to ITAD, electronics recycling/refurbishment, serialized asset tracking/WMS, or enterprise IT hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering and willingness to travel domestically with some international trips.

Responsibilities

• Assess & Improve Floor Operations: observe workflows and partner with operators to align with standard procedures.
• Apply Lean & Eliminate Root Causes: map flows, analyze bottlenecks, and use lean tools to streamline.
• Standardize & Document Workflows: write SOPs and visual aids for multi-site consistency.
• Analyze Capacity & Metrics: study cycle times, labor use, throughput and KPIs.
• Enhance Workstations & Systems: optimize layouts, tooling, and asset tracking systems.
