Job summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to evaluate, standardize, and optimize operational workflows across Asset Lifecycle Management and ITAD operations, spanning receiving, sorting, testing, data sanitization, refurbishment, and shipping.
The role works with floor teams to identify root causes of gaps, eliminate waste, and implement practical solutions that drive productivity, ergonomics, and quality while supporting IT/Operations initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of process engineering or related roles.
- Lean principles experience in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to lead projects across multiple sites.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Assess and improve floor operations across facilities.
- Apply Lean to map flows, identify bottlenecks, and eliminate waste.
- Standardize and document SOPs, visuals, and work instructions.
- Analyze capacity and metrics (cycle times, labor, throughput, KPIs).
- Enhance workstations and systems, improve layout, ergonomic considerations.
