Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Process Engineer for Asset Lifecycle Management & ITAD Operations to evaluate and optimize workflows across facilities. You will identify gaps, standardize procedures, and implement Lean solutions to improve productivity and quality.

Domestic travel is required to work with floor teams and leaders across sites. You will map flows, analyze bottlenecks, and develop SOPs while collaborating with IT/Operations to enhance serialized asset tracking and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Lean principles applied in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Visit facilities, observe frontline workflows and identify discrepancies between actual work and standard procedures.
• Map material and information flows, perform root-cause analysis on bottlenecks and rework queues.
• Author SOPs, visual job aids, and work instructions to standardize practices across sites.
• Conduct time and motion studies to assess cycle times, labor utilization, and throughput.
• Optimize floor layouts, tooling, and ergonomics; support asset tracking and data entry improvements with IT/Operations.
