Job summary

nVent seeks a remote, technically minded lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to translate real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. You will serve as a domain authority for Smart Power Solutions, provide first-line support, evaluate RFIs/RFQs, and train customers as needed.

Occasional onsite engagements and travel across the US/Canada are expected. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a data center power applications role, strong cooling and power-architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent data center power experience.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center power solutions.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% across US/Canada; remote work allowed.
• Strong knowledge of Air and Liquid Cooling in Data Centers.
• Understanding of Data Center Power Architecture from UPS to rack.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Act as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate customer RFIs and RFQs as requested.
• Provide technical application assistance for pre/post sales.
• Collaborate with Smart Power Team to identify best product fits.
• Conduct product training for customers via Teams and onsite when needed.
• Prepare documentation for pre/post and RMAs.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy.
• Represent nVent at industry events.
• Provide market-specific intelligence to commercial teams.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader and team.
• Identify projects in closing phase with sales and provide technical support.
• Advise manager on significant developments and upcoming decisions.
