Job summary

nVent is seeking a technical lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to turn data center challenges into practical Power Solutions. You will be the domain authority for Smart Power Solutions and provide first-line product support while training customers and colleagues.

The role involves remote work with 30–50% travel across the US/Canada, and requires a strong engineering background in Data Center power systems and cooling solutions. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent data center power experience.
• Ideally 5+ years in a technical applications role for Data Center power solutions.
• Ability to work 100% remotely with 30–50% travel across US/Canada; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions across Sales, Product Management, Operations and others.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues for Smart Power Solutions.
• Evaluate RFIs and RFQs as requested by customers.
• Provide technical application assistance for pre- and post-sales for Smart Power Solutions.
• Work with Smart Power Team to identify best fit for products and services.
• Conduct product training for customers via Teams and onsite as needed.
• Prepare required documents for pre/post and RMAs.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy including guides and procedures.
• Represent nVent at industry events.
• Provide market-specific intelligence and VOC feedback to commercial teams.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader and team.
• Identify projects in closing phase with the sales team and provide vital technical support.
• Advise manager about significant developments and upcoming decisions.
