Job summary

nVent is seeking a technically minded lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to turn real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. You will act as a domain authority for Smart Power Solutions, providing first-line product support and helping pre/post-sales activities.

The role involves evaluating RFIs/RFQs, leading customer training, and influencing product documentation. Travel across the US/Canada is expected, with a remote-work option for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent data center power experience.
• Ideally 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center power solutions.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% across US/Canada; remote work possible.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions across Sales, PM, and Operations.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFIs/RFQs and provide technical application assistance pre/post sales.
• Lead training for customers via Teams or onsite.
• Review and update installation guides, procedures, and manuals.
• Represent nVent at industry events and provide VOC feedback to commercial teams.
